New Forest Notes

New Forest Notes comprises a monthly record of the New Forest, its history, management and land use from May 1990 to the present day. The Notes have been written by Anthony Pasmore, the longest serving elected verderer since the Verderers’ Court was established in 1877 and a member of NFHAG and its predecessor the New Forest Section of the Hampshire Field Club. Except for the last six months of 2013, the record is unbroken and its origins are described in the Notes for June 2013 (see index below). The Notes initially appear in the first week of each month in the Lymington Times.
